My other concern, is that EVGA says they won't service the laptop after the warranty, even as a paid service, so if anything gives after 2 years, I am just out of luck. I would of asked for a replacement if I lived in the US, but I had only 5 days there and it was a present, so I accepted it as is. This is the best I could get in Firestrike, The main issues I have, other than PL limit, which is by design and I can live with that, is the back light bleed on the bottom of the screen and the coilwhine coming from the GPU side. Even after unlocking the Bios, I can't get the PL limit to exceed 60W. Performance wise also decent, but the EC power limits are frustrating if ones to overclock beyond 4.1GHz on all cores. The cooling is pretty good with stock paste compared to some other machines. Overall, I am happy with this machine, especially with the well built design. prophet0001 Do EVGA employees respond to these forums at all? Thank you for the heads up, we are updating the spec sheet for sc17 1080, it DOES comes with a 300W adapter. I would think that bare minimum for a laptop that does advertise "true overclocking". Is a 240W PSU enough? The AW 17 with pretty much identical specs and no "true overclocking" advertised comes with a 300W PSU. However, I have a question and it pretty much echos what DukeCLR has said. This is a very nice looking laptop and if my 4th Alienware has problems then I will seriously consider purchasing one of these instead. Is PSU that comes with the machine strong enough to OC the CPU/GPU combination and would a stronger PSU be available?
BOX SYNC PSU FULL
I do question the PSU wattage however, my current machine pulls 228W at full load with my overclocked settings, adding a 1080 to the machine would put it over 240W. The SC17 seems to be a bit more mobile and has piqued my interest. prophet0001 DukeCLR This machine looks pretty nice, I spend 1/2 of my time gaming on a laptop and I'm currently using a GT73VR equipped with a 6820HK/1070, it bulky but its a power house. If you do not have an active Box account and feel you need access to Box, please email. Box access is limited to users who are currently migrating or on Clean Up List. Questions about retirement can be directed to.

Student, faculty, and staff with Box accounts have had their data migrated to Microsoft Office 365. This is only for external display support. Penn State has retired the Box service effective Spring 2022. Aotkpta I had a question pertaining to "Supports external displays up to 4K 60Hz, Does this mean the laptop's display supports 4K 60Hz, or does this only apply to external displays?
